Hotel Features
Designed by award winning Bali architect, Popo Danes, the villas and suites at MMP marry key features of Balinese architecture with a modernist tradition, adapted to the environment of this hill station.
In 2009 just there villas and suites are available rendering a stay at MMP an intimate experience where you can enjoy unparalleled privacy. Small groups can rent the entire plantation thereby further enhancing the unique experience.
Villas
The villa boast superb views of the rolling hills down to the sea, overlooking rice fields and jungle in the distance. In the evening the view is of the sun setting in the Java sea.
The villas are very spacious (70m˛) with a tropical hardwood (merbau) parquet floors in the bed and living room and Sulawesi cream marble in the bathroom. King-size poster beds, couches made from tropical hardwood, high quality cotton and linen and local artworks work together to produce a warm interior. Huge glass panel doors provide unparalleled views in all directions. A large hand finished terrazzo bath-tub invites for soaking one’s limbs in mellow mountain water, filled with essential flagrances (provided).
An indoor shower with sinks for him and for her completes the indoor bathroom. An outdoor shower in a private garden filled with flowers allows for rinsing one’s body in nature.
Private dining is possible both in the villa or on the secluded terrace while a DVD-audio-iPod station and flat screen TV guarantee that you will not have to miss out any of your favorite music of movies – or the news (in the unlikely event that you would wish to follow this).

Suites
MMP presently offers two suites, located on the second floor of the main building, overlooking the swimming pool and the Bali sea. Both suites offer a huge terrace and en-suite bathrooms. The basic materials are the same as in the villas : hardwood merbau floors and sulawesi cream marble in the bathroom. They also boast a hand polished terrazzo bathtub.
The first suite has a surface of some 35m˛ and has a king-size poster bed and handcrafted local furniture and designs made from local materials and tropical hard wood.
The second suite, in addition, offers a sizeable study room of some 25m˛ with a reading and TV watching area. This second room can be closed by sliding doors and transformed in a second bedroom, making this suite ideal for a family with children.
Facilities in the suites are identical to those in the villas.
Munduk Moding Plantation offers a wide range of facilities that will allow you to experience this beautiful part of the island in a way that you will never forget.
Enjoy our 18 meter infinity pool with a panoramic view of the rolling hills, Bali’s central mountains and the Java sea. On a clear day you have a view of more than 50 kilometers onto Java.
Munduk Moding Plantation is a coffee plantation, but we also grow a wide variety of tropical fruits, vegetables and flowers. There is also a forest area, with bamboo growth and lotus ponds. You will be given a guided tour on the day of arrival and after wards receive a detailed map allowing you to explore Munduk Moding Plantation on your own. There are several hills on Munduk Moding Plantation and you can enjoy the views, enjoy a book from the library in one of our Bale Bengongs spread out over the plantation – these are stocked with drinks should you get thirsty.
The Spa
Set back somewhat from the villas in the middle of a particularly beautiful segment of the plantation the spa commands astounding views of the sea. Designed by Popo Danes and executed in tropical hardwood and marble, the spa is a privileged place to abandon your body to the secular secrets of Balinese well-being. Our therapist will look after you, unwinding body and soul, with the heady scent of flowers and spices.
Munduk Moding Plantation’s spa pavilion comprises two large areas; one with two massage beds and a Balinese sofa, the other with a dressing area and bathroom with a terrazzo bath. The sound of water is everywhere as it trickles down a rock clad wall. The interior and exterior blend with the uniquely beautiful nature, thanks to the use of local material and the manner in which the spa integrates with this privileged part of paradise.
