| The Legian Bali Jl. Laksamana, Seminyak Seminyak Bali 80361 |
The Legian has renovated all of its 66 suites to set new standards in tropical sophistication for the penultimate guest experience. This exclusive, all-suite resort on Seminyak beach managed by General Hotel Management (GHM), has just completed an intensive upgrade program throughout each room, revamping the furniture and fittings and introducing state-of-the-art TV, CD and iPod systems. The result is an elegant, intimate and more rustic ambiance that combines traditional Balinese style and hospitality with modern luxury.
Each suite has been equipped with the latest entertainment technology, including a large 32-inch HD LCD TV, a Blue-Ray Disc Player and two i Pod units with an additional Bose sound dock for shared listening. The 80GB Video Classic i Pods contain a large selection of music, from jazz, rock and easy listening to classical and zen tunes. These high-tech amenities add to the existing cable television and Bose Lifestyle entertainment system found in each room, enabling guests to enjoy the utmost comfort whether relaxing or entertaining in style, in the privacy of their suites. Each suite also features new or upgraded furnishings including sofa, lounge chairs, dining table, floor lamps and bed lamps, which are made from natural materials to enhance the deluxe resort's chic tropical design.
In particular, mosaic black shell has been used extensively in the revamp for a sleek, contemporary effect that complements the gold and honey tones of the upholstery and polished wooden floorboards. In the living area, both the dining table and writing desk feature polished mosaic shell tops, and are flanked by four, pillar-style lamps in each corner of the room. Even smaller items are worthy of note; an exquisite side table alongside the rattan sofa is made entirely from varnished tree trunk for a striking, earthy object d'art. Clever spotlighting that skirts around the edge of the ceilings in both the living room and the adjoining bedroom completes the cozy, sensual vibe.
While the décor has been overhauled, the design of the suites remains unchanged. Akin to apartment-style accommodation, they boast spacious bedrooms with walk-in wardrobes, double bathrooms, separate living quarters and private balconies overlooking the landscaped Balinese gardens and Indian Ocean beyond. Rooms also include broadband and wireless internet connection, International Direct Dial (IDD) phone, an espresso coffee machine, complimentary afternoon tea, newspaper services, babysitting service, 24-hour concierge service, 24-hour in-room dining, and individual pantry stocked with quality refreshments and snacks.
