Depart 1.00 am. return 1.00 pm. Trekkers staying in coastal Bali will be picked up at 1 am. for a 1.5 hour drive to the central mountains. After a 15 minute safety briefing start climbing from Pura Jati at 3.00 am. It takes approximately 2 hours to cross the sand and lava rocks deposited by eruptions hundreds of years ago and to climb to the peak, 1717m above sea level.
After climbing the mountain, to see the sunrise proceed by bus to the Natural Hot Springs at Toya Bungkah, set right on the shores of Lake Batur. Enjoy bathing in the hot mineral waters (from 32 to 390 Celcius) and have lunch right here at the lakeside restaurant, before returning to your hotel.
Day 1: Start at 13.30 from your hotel in coastal Bali or 14.15 from Ubud and tour central Bali, arriving at Natural Hot Springs around 16.00 to choose your campsite. Enjoy swimming and soaking in the hot springs until dark, and at 19.30 join in a barbecue of fresh lake fish. Turn in early so as to be completely refreshed and ready for your early morning mountain climb.
Depart hotel at 7.30 am. for a two-hour scenic drive up to the central mountains. Our local guides will be waiting with the bicycles at Kedisan, ready for you to set off cycling at 9.00 am. The route follows the lakeside, with its picturesque vegetable gardens tucked into the little bays along the way.
Day 1: Start from your Hotel, at 7.30 am. and drive to Kintamani to meet up with your guide for the day at the hillside village of Suter. From here set off on foot through the pine forests down the steep tracks that lead into the ancient crater down towards lake Batur. It takes about two hours to reach the lake-side village of Abang.
Day 1: Depart your Hotel at 07.30 a.m. for a scenic drive traversing central Bali to Kintamani. From the edge of the vast caldera surrounding Mt. Batur the road follows a steep downhill path to the lakeside. Here bicycles await you for a refreshing ride through dramatic terrain formed by ancient eruptions.
