Each of the 17 houses at Ida Beach Village, every one named for a local village .. Budakeling, Manggis, Pidada, Tirtagangga ... is situated in a private, wallet garden with a split gate and angkul-angkul entry. The angkul-angkul, or freestanding wall blocking your direct entry is an old Balinese feature designed to keep out demons and unwelcome spirits.
