Padanggalak located on the East Denpasar district, between the Denpasar municipality,Sanur and Gianyar—known as the Gold Triangle area. From the Padanggalak beach, the beauty of the Mount Agung, Nusa Penida island, and the beauty of the Sanur Beach can be viewed from a distance.

From morning till afternoon closely to twilight can be viewed various fishermen boats and yachts that sail through the Bali strait. There are also some interesting places around this area.

The Padanggalak monument is one of them. The monument built to honored the victims of the PANAM plane crash on 1972 in Grokgak area of Singaraja regency.

All of the people inside the plane were killed (17 people), in which it was the biggest plane crash in Bali. The victims came from various countries, and could not be identified, therefore all of them buried in the Padanggalak area, and a monument designed by the Balinese architect built

Meanwhile, the Ayung River Walk is the recreation center in Padanggalak area. Some facilities like international swimming pool, water sports, etc equipped this leisure.
