We were a group of 4 couples and this is the first time any of us stayed at a villa . Villa Umah Cagaan was quite simply - breathtaking with a humongous compound, comfy lounge area, perfectly sized swimming pool, 2 separate areas for dining , excellent cook ( the breakfasts were delicious with so many choices ! ) . The cook is capable of whipping up any number of tasty Balinese delights. Staff every ready to serve & bring us tea/coffe/juice with gentle smiles . Tasteful & artful furnishings perfectly complemented the serene greenery & river flowing behind the villa. Frogs croaking loudly in the lily pond upon sunset and 'giant' gekkos prowling the ceilings were especially memorable.
The free handphone for guests to contact the Villa staff in case of emergency/pick up from Ubud was a very nice touch & highly appreciated.
It was unfortunate we spent so much time away from the Villa - it felt really good to come back and just relax - it was our 'dream' home. In the mornings we could either walk/cycle to the main road/village , swim in the pool , work out in the gym or do tai-chi in the lawn. Best part was we could do all of the above in the privacy of the Villa and not be disturbed or risk bothering other guests.
Thank you very much to all the staff & manager for taking such good care of our group. Umah Cagaan was the highlight of our stay. Highly recommended !!
