Location
Villa Tugu is one hour drive from the airport, ten
minutes from the center of Ubud, ten minutes from Gianyar, ten
minutes from Tampak Siring (temple and natural sources) and
less then one hour from Kintamani. Five minutes walk from the
house is a local market for fresh food, drinks, textile or a
very Indonesian haircut.
The house is located on one hectare
land, partial sawah, partial forest. Three sides of the house
are protected by a Balinese stone-wall and one side is open
to the landscape, where the sunset is daily a different painting.
Pejeng is an older spot then Ubud and has seven temples and
an archaeological museum. The spot where Villa Tugu is build
is called the navel/centre of Bali. Any guest will keep a different
impression in mind, because the cycle of the rice culture takes
about three months. Some guests will see the naked sawah like
a mirror, others see the fresh green plants and some will see
the golden carpet, just before the rice is ready for harvest.
Guestrooms
The two guestrooms have a terrace, ceiling-fan, hot
water, separated toilet, stereo-music system and a double bed.
Eventually we can arrange an extra bed for one person or two
kids. During your stay you can use the open dining / living
room with comfortable furniture, a wonderful view, music system
and a television (BBC-world, CNN, HBO etc.).
The houses are nearby the swimming
pool where is also a "Bale" / pavilion to relax. The
pool has a slope edge (24 meters long) and a children-corner
(15m2, 20-40 cm deep). Guesthouse "timur" (east) has
a Japanese character and guesthouse "barat" (west)
has an Indonesian character.
